Hello!  My name is Shawna Meyer, and this year,  I will be starting my fifth year of teaching elementary school.  I am currently a second grade teacher, and I previously taught Kindergarten and first grade.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  I have also been a Reading and Math Interventionist.  I love teaching, and it gives me great joy to see my students learn throughout the school year!

I am married and have 4 adult children.  I have 3 sons and 1 daughter.  I have an interest in cooking and nutrition, and I love finding new recipes to try.  I also like to travel with my family.  

I am in the House of Nukumori, and I am looking forward to another great year at Hawthorn Academy!
