Accessing Canvas at Home
To make sure Canvas works correctly, students must be logged into Google Chrome with their school email account.
If your child is using a personal Google account, Canvas will not open properly. Please check that:
Your child is signed into Chrome with their student email (ending in …@hawthornstudent.org).
They are using the correct Chrome profile (look in the top-right corner of the Chrome window to see which account is signed in).
If the wrong account is signed in, log out and switch to the student’s school account.
This step is important because Canvas is linked directly to your child’s school email.
