Biography

I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of Hawthorn Academy. I have been involved with both South Jordan and West Jordan campuses since 2018 and look forward to using my experiences as I begin my Board role in 2024. 

In every interaction with the school, I have been amazed whether it has been kindergarten orientation, going on field trips, school spirit nights, and meeting teachers, faculty and leadership. I’m excited as Hawthorn continues to fully develop the STEM focus and building community through the House System. House Nukumori!

I enjoy going camping with my family in the outdoors and riding power sport equipment or playing in the lakes with kayaks. I earned a 2-year technical degree from Salt Lake Community College as an Electronics Technician. This training has allowed me to work in a STEM field making devices that track speed and time that help people reach their full potential. I was raised in a small town in Montana with a population of 1250 and graduated with 30 in my class. I love how Hawthorn has the same community feeling where people support and encourage each other.
